世界を舞台に活躍するバルーン・アーティスト 細貝 里枝とアートディレクター、グラフィックデザイナーの河田 孝志からなるバルーンユニット Daisy Balloon が、ドレス、ブーケ、ブーケ付きバッグなど、バルーンで彩るウェディング・プロジェクトを開始し、それに伴い絵本『仕合せの4つの果実(4 Apples of Happiness)』をリリースしました。
この絵本は、Daisy Balloon のアイコンでもあるアップルベアーが、縁結びをお手伝いする役を演じ、動物のカップルに”仕合せ”を届けるストーリーとなっています。
タイトルにもある”仕合せ”とは、幸福の幸せだけでなく、良悪を含め人智を超えた天のめぐりあわせを表していて、人生を共にするパートナーと築きあげる上で大切なものを伝えようとしています。
“仕合せ”は人それぞれですが、この絵本を通じて、どのような事が”仕合せ”であるか、考えるきっかけとなれば幸いです。
Balloon Artist Rie Hosokai and Art Director/Graphic Designer Takashi Kawada make the world their stage as the balloon unit Daisy Balloon. They began a balloon wedding project of dresses, bouquets and bouquet bags which are featured in their newly released 4 Apples of Happiness picture book.
The story told in this picture book is that of Daisy Balloon’s iconic Apple Bear helping to tie the knot and send ‘happiness’ to the animal couple.
‘Happiness’ which is in the title refers not only to good fortune but also to fate, which exists beyond the human intellect and includes both the good and the bad. We wanted to send the message that there is something important on top of sharing your life with a partner and helping each other grow.
“Happiness” varies from person to person, but we hope this picture book inspires you to think about what sort of things you consider as “happiness.”
